Scavengers Reign Available on Netflix

Heralded by the New York Times as a "Gorgeous, Hypnotic Space Trip," critically acclaimed anime series Scavengers Reign premiered on Netflix in the United States (US) and United Kingdom (UK) on May 31st, 2024.

​

This marks the first time a Max Original has arrived on Netflix in the US.

Happy Hour - Animated Short Film

Anya Lagman collaborated with filmmaker Hanyu Sun on her thesis animated film "Happy Hour."

​

The film and score received its world premiere on May 11, 2024 at the Eileen Norris Cinema Theatre in Los Angeles, CA for the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts Animation Showcase.

British School Manila 2024 Keynote Speaker

Anya Lagman served as the youngest alumna speaker in British School Manila history for their second Founder's Day and Alumni Reunion Celebration.

Lagman delivered her keynote speech on January 12, 2024 at the Bayanihan Hall of the British School Manila in Taguig, Philippines.

Luzerner Sinfonie Ball Auction 2023

The House of Gübelin and the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester organized the 5th edition of the Luzerner Sinfonieball, held at the KKL Luzern on November 5th, 2023.

Lagman's composition was auctioned at CHF 15,000 with proceeds going to the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester, Switzerland's oldest leading symphony orchestras.

Pagsibol

The Philippine Department of Tourism's Malacañang Heritage Tours held the first musical cultural show at the Goldenberg Mansion, entitled "Pagsibol" (to blossom). Anya Lagmans original compositions and arrangements were performed by The Manila Philharmonic Orchestra, The Philippine Madrigal Singers, and Carla Guevarra-Laforteza.

Bayan

Anya Lagman premieres her award winning works at "Bayan" (nation), her self-produced concert held at the Joyce J. Cammilleri Hall in Los Angeles.

MUSE Cincinnati Women's Choir World Premiere

The May Festival partners with Luna Composition Lab for their 150th anniversary, commissioning 25 new choral works.

In collaboration with MUSE Cincinnati Women's Choir, Lagman received a world premiere for her choral work "I Am Mother," a tribute to Overseas Filipino Workers, (OFWs) particularly OFW women.

Together We Build

A collaboration with Philippine wedding videographer Jason Magbanua.

Lagman wrote and produced the song, dedicated to her parents Mike and Charmaine Lagman on their 25th wedding anniversary.

The Atlantic Music Festival Premiere

Lagman receives a world premiere for her Pierrot ensemble composition, "The Take-Off" by the Atlantic Music Festival Contemporary Ensemble in Waterville, Maine.

Lagman's Compositional Debut in Los Angeles

Lagman receives her compositional debut in Los Angeles, where Aidan Gold premieres her solo piano composition entitled "Polaris," inspired by the Griffith Observatory's planetarium.

Lagman's Paco Park World Premiere

At the historical Paco Park in Manila, Philippines, Lagman receives a world premiere of her vocal work with piano accompaniment "Demain dès l'aube" by Evangeline Lao (soprano) Sherine Koa (soprano), and Mary Anne Espina (pianist).

Balikbayan - Chicago Premiere

Anya Lagman receives her Chicago premiere of choral work "Balikbayan" by professional chamber choir Stare at the Sun–the choir's inaugural performance of a work by a Filipino composer.

"Balikbayan" was featured in Stare at the Sun's final concert of the season titled "You Through Me," and performed on May 18 and 19, 2024 in Wicker Park, Chicago and Winnetka, Illinois.

Iisang Puso - Philippine Unity Song

Anya Lagman was commissioned by the Philippine government to compose an original song for the Presidential kick-off rally, "Bagong Pilipinas."

Lagman's song "Iisang Puso" was performed by a fifteen piece ensemble with choreography in front of 400,000 people at Quirino Grandstand in Luneta, Manila, Philippines.

Together We Build (Holiday Remix)

For the 2023 holiday season, Lagman remixed her song "Together We Build," now available on all streaming platforms.

Scavengers Reign (Animated Series)

Max Original animated series "Scavengers Reign," created and executive produced by Joseph Bennett and Charles Huettner. Composed by Nicholas Synder with additional music by Anya Lagman.

Lagman contributed additional music on episodes 105 to 109.

Flutter (Animated Short Film)

Anya Lagman was commissioned by filmmakers Jackson Roberts and Roxie Chen to create the score for their animated short film, "Flutter."

​

The film explores themes of dealing with loss and family from the perspective of a young child.

Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra World Premiere

Kaufman Music Center's Luna Composition Lab partners with The Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra for eight original world premieres by Luna Lab fellows. Lagman receives a world premiere for her string quartet entitled, "Unravel,"

Hub New Music World Premiere

Hub New Music premieres Lagman's instrumental chamber work, "Bayanihan" (the spirit of communal unity). Lagman honors the historical tradition behind Bayanihan, inspired by this article.

Performance with Oriana Choir

Anya Lagman (Oriana choir alum) was invited to perform the flute solo for the Oriana Choir's performance of Karl Jenkins' Adiemus at The Newman Recital Hall, Los Angeles, CA.

Toscana Resort Castelfalfi

Anya Lagman collaborates with Toscana Resort Castelfalfi on an episiode on their series "Tales of Castelfalfi," scoring for string quartet.

Lagman's US Compositional Debut

Anya Lagman receives a world premiere for her string quartet "Twisted Road" by The Momenta String Quartet as a participant of the Boston Conservatory's High School Composition Intensive in Boston, MA.
